With over 15 years of experience in Index/ETF trading and capital markets, Niyanta Arora is an expert in the Index/ETF Delta One space. She started her career at Deutsche Bank, where she spent seven years trading linear index derivatives for both the flow and index arbitrage businesses. At Deutsche, she developed expertise in macro trading, multi-asset liquidity and execution, index rebalances, index forwards trading, ETF creations/redemptions, synthetic funding and securities lending. She moved to Citibank to run the inventory management business that managed financial resources for Equities trading. Since her role was at a unique intersection of securities lending, funding and synthetic equity trading, she used her creative ability and leadership skills to shape revenue and cost incentives.
She eventually moved to UBS to grow the Delta One Index business where she diversified the client base and added proprietary revenue lines.
Throughout her career, she has principally traded a wide set of index derivatives and is well versed with the participants in the market making community, their motivations to trade and complexities of the market structure. Beyond trading, Niyanta enjoys sharing her expertise on complex Index/ETF related topics to contribute back to the community.
