Experienced Management with a Differentiated Process

All four funds are sub-advised by EARNEST Partners, a firm with over 25 years of experience in bottom-up, fundamental investing. Known for its high-conviction, research-driven strategies, EARNEST Partners employs a proprietary screening process designed to uncover resilient, high-quality companies that others may overlook—while managing risk to enhance long-term, risk-adjusted returns.

“Uncertainty doesn’t obscure what matters—it reveals it. In periods of volatility, the traits that drive enduring performance become unmistakably clear. At EARNEST Partners, we focus on those keystone traits—resilient business models, strong capital discipline, and long-term decision-making. That focus has made a tremendous difference for our clients and for us,” said Paul Viera, Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

About the Funds

Harbor Mid Cap Value ETF (EPMV): A contrarian strategy targeting mid-cap stocks with solid fundamentals and attractive valuations. EPMV holds 40–70 names, offering focused exposure to undervalued opportunities often missed by the broader market.

Harbor SMID Cap Value ETF (EPSV): This fund zeroes in on small- and mid-cap U.S. companies with strong balance sheets and untapped growth potential. Its concentrated portfolio of 40–70 holdings is actively managed to identify value before it’s priced in.

Harbor Mid Cap Core ETF (EPMB): Designed to uncover mid-cap stocks within the Russell Midcap® range, EPMB looks for quality companies whose earnings potential may be underestimated. The strategy emphasizes disciplined research and long-term growth.

Harbor SMID Cap Core ETF (EPSB): EPSB blends small- and mid-cap exposure with a focus on businesses displaying strong fundamentals and underappreciated earnings drivers. The portfolio applies a contrarian lens and disciplined risk oversight.

“Not all managers are alike, and I have met with hundreds over my career. What we have in EARNEST Partners is rare. Over more than 20 years, I’ve observed how they operate across very different market conditions—and their consistency, depth of thinking, and long-term discipline stand out. We’re excited to bring that approach to more investors in a tax-efficient ETF format,” said Kristof Gleich, President and Chief Investment Officer at Harbor.
