Top ETF Launches

VistaShares added another personality-driven income strategy with the Target 15 ACKtivist Distribution ETF (ACKY), designed to mirror Bill Ackman’s Pershing Square portfolio while layering a covered call overlay to target 15% annual income.

Holdings such as Amazon, Nike, and Uber anchor the fund, though neither Ackman nor Pershing Square are affiliated. ACKY follows VistaShares’ Berkshire Hathaway–focused product, which has already gathered $475 million, and joins a broader wave of ETFs tied to marquee investors like Dan Ives and Tom Lee.

Warren Capital entered the space with the WarCap Unconstrained Equity ETF (WCAP), an actively managed strategy investing in 30–50 equities without benchmark restrictions. Positioning is guided by macro trends and fundamentals, with a mandate for long-term capital growth.

Symmetry Partners introduced the Symmetry Panoramic Sector Momentum ETF (SMOM), a rules-based fund rotating across S&P 500 sectors using momentum signals. The ETF builds on a separately managed account model launched in 2018, aiming to provide tax-efficient access to sector momentum.

Tweedy, Browne expanded its footprint with the International Insider + Value ETF (ICPY), applying the insider-driven value framework of COPY to non-U.S. markets. The strategy screens for undervalued international companies with insider buying activity, extending the firm’s century-old value philosophy to global equities.

State Street launched the PRSD ETF, an actively managed bond fund blending investment-grade public and private credit. Targeting a 1–3 year duration profile, the short-duration strategy aims to deliver income with reduced volatility and broaden access to private credit in liquid ETF form.

WisdomTree listed two new defense funds—WDGF and WDAF—providing exposure to global and Asia-Pacific defense contractors. Both carry a 0.45% expense ratio and seek to capture themes of rising defense budgets, reshoring, and next-generation defense technologies.

RAFI Indices rolled out the Research Affiliates Cap-Weighted US ETF (RAUS), a fundamentally adjusted cap-weighted index strategy that incorporates sales, cash flow, and book value into weighting. The fund aims to maintain the appeal of simple passive investing while addressing traditional cap-weighting biases.

Shelton Capital debuted the Shelton Equity Premium Income ETF (SEPI), drawing on its five-star EQTIX strategy. SEPI combines dividends with option premiums on large-cap stocks, offering a tax-efficient structure for income-oriented investors.

Sprott added to its resource lineup with the Sprott Active Metals & Miners ETF (METL), investing in undervalued miners, recyclers, and royalty firms tied to strategic metals such as copper, uranium, lithium, and silver. The contrarian, active approach emphasizes long-term value.

YieldMax continued expanding its single-stock income series with two new launches: the Reddit Option Income ETF (RDYY), targeting option premiums on Reddit stock, and the GameStop Option Income ETF (GMEY), which applies a similar overlay to GME. Both funds distribute monthly, with first payouts expected in October.

ProShares introduced four leveraged single-stock ETFs—COIA (Ultra COIN), NVDB (Ultra NVDA), PLTA (Ultra PLTR), and TSLI (Ultra TSLA)—each delivering 2x daily exposure. With over $60 billion in assets across geared products, ProShares continues to lead the leveraged and inverse ETF market.

Tema ETFs launched the Tema International Durable Quality ETF (ITOL), focused on dominant non-U.S. companies with durable business models and strong competitive moats. The active fund, an extension of TOLL’s framework, charges 0.60%.

Tradr ETFs rolled out six new leveraged funds, each providing 2x daily returns on individual companies including Applied Digital (APLX), Nebius (NEBX), Joby Aviation (JOBX), Navitas Semiconductor (NVTX), Pony AI (PONX), and Voyager Technologies (VOYX).

Planned Launches

Tradr ETFs will follow up with five additional 2x single-stock ETFs on Sept. 16, tied to CleanSpark, Credo Technology, Enphase Energy, Goldman Sachs, and Unity Software.

Closures

ARK Invest and 21Shares will liquidate three joint crypto ETFs—ARKA, ARKZ, and ARKD—on or around Sept. 26. Trading will end Sept. 25, with proceeds distributed shortly after.

Fund Updates

The Democratic Large Cap Core ETF (DEMZ) will broaden its mandate beyond its proprietary index starting Nov. 11, shifting to invest at least 80% of assets in U.S. large caps with updated benchmark and strategy details forthcoming.

Filings

The filings pipeline remained busy:

  • Vanguard submitted for a Core-Plus Bond Index ETF, offering exposure across investment-grade and high-yield U.S. debt.
  • VistaShares filed a series of Target 15 Distribution ETFs (ADRY, EURY, GIOO, SIOO) targeting global innovators, European high dividend payers, global large caps, and S&P 100 constituents, each seeking 15% annual income via equity plus options overlays.
  • NEOS applied for an MLP & Energy Infrastructure ETF using a covered call income strategy.
  • Tuttle Capital filed multiple thematic products, including ETFs tied to non-human intelligence, U.S. and European reshoring, nuclear power, and a suite of crypto income ETFs covering assets like Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin.

  • Franklin Templeton filed for a Small Cap Enhanced ETF using a multi-factor quant process.

  • ProShares and REX Shares filed for leveraged ETFs tied to Klarna and Figure, while Defiance submitted for 12 new 2x single-stock ETFs and an options income product linked to QTUM.
  • Truth Social proposed a full suite of thematic funds, ranging from defense and energy security to innovation frontiers, iconic brands, and even Red State REITs.
  • Rareview Capital filed for a Government Money Market ETF, while Fundsmith submitted for a global quality-growth equity ETF.
  • Grayscale seeks to convert its Bitcoin Cash, Hedera, and Litecoin trusts into ETFs, extending its push into altcoin exposures.

Milestones

Amplify ETFs surpassed $14 billion in AUM, fueled by growth in its YieldSmart income lineup (DIVO topping $5B) and thematic funds such as SILJ and BLOK.

Ecosystem Developments

WisdomTree introduced CRDT, a tokenized private credit fund on Ethereum and Stellar, expanding onchain access to alternatives via its Prime and Connect platforms.

In case we missed any, our partners Trackinsight got it covered with this full expanded Western ETF markets recap.
