A Wave of Launches: Active Management and Income Dominate

BlackRock added another layer to its vast lineup with the iShares Euro Investment Grade Corporate Bond USD Hedged ETF (EUIG). The fund gives investors access to euro-denominated corporate debt while neutralizing currency swings through monthly rebalancing.

In a different corner of the bond market, Weitz Investment Management rolled out the Weitz Multisector Bond ETF (WMSB). Designed for flexibility, it moves across credit sectors and durations, able to hold more than 50% in high yield when conditions favor risk.

Meanwhile, WisdomTree launched the Short Duration Income ETF (WISD), targeting steady income with a global mix of short-term bonds and active hedging to curb rate volatility.

The Rise of Leverage and Options Income Strategies

The trading crowd had plenty to digest. Tradr ETFs added to its leveraged lineup with COZX, offering 2x exposure to Core Scientific as the company pivots from crypto to AI data centers.

Leverage Shares debuted three 2x single-stock products tied to Lululemon, Gemini Space Station, and Oscar Health, strengthening its hold on the fast-growing leveraged ETF niche.

REX Financial expanded its covered call family with five new “Growth & Income” ETFs that mix mild leverage with weekly call writing. Amplify entered the crypto-income frontier through SOLM, the first ETF generating monthly yield from Solana exposure while keeping room for appreciation.

GraniteShares continued building its YieldBOOST™ franchise, introducing funds tied to MARA and IONQ option strategies, while KraneShares launched KWIN, a delta-neutral, ethically screened income ETF designed partly for Middle Eastern investors.

Innovative Entrants: From Commodities to Defined Outcome ETFs

Stoneport Advisors entered the market with SCLS, a rules-based long/short commodity ETF blending trend signals like contango and backwardation.

Gladius Capital made its debut with the Wayfinder Dynamic U.S. Interest Rate ETF (CMBO), bringing institutional derivatives expertise into an accessible format.

Defined outcome ETFs remained in vogue. PGIM added the S&P 500 Max Buffer ETF – November Series (PMNV), while Innovator rolled out DDFN and DDTN, offering capped upside and partial downside protection through structured buffers. For investors seeking stability amid uncertainty, these products extend the growing “risk-managed” segment of the ETF universe.

Thematic Focus: Critical Metals, AI, and Beyond

The thematic boom continued with the First Trust Indxx Critical Metals ETF (FMTL), built around the minerals fueling the energy transition and the digital economy. It avoids exposure to China and Russia, concentrating on North American and allied suppliers.

Meanwhile, iShares launched ENHU, an AI-enhanced active ETF aiming to outperform the Russell 1000 using machine learning models and alternative data. The move signals how AI is migrating from portfolio construction tools into product design itself.

Filings Point to the Next Wave

Behind the scenes, the SEC’s pipeline filled with bold ideas. WisdomTree filed for a CoinDesk 20 ETF, targeting top crypto assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana under Coinbase custody.

Simplify unveiled plans for a Managed Futures ETF tracking the DBI CTA MF Index, extending its derivatives-heavy playbook.

Horizon Kinetics proposed a Texas-centric active equity ETF, while Miller Family Funds filed for a convertible bond strategy marrying growth potential with capital preservation.

Tradr doubled down with 25 new 2x inverse single-stock ETFs, offering traders bearish leverage on big names from Amazon to Upstart.

Reckoner Capital designed a master-feeder CLO ETF framework to simplify credit exposure.

Tuttle Capital is preparing crypto-income ETFs blending option spreads and Bitcoin holdings, while GraniteShares outlined a suite of 3x thematic leveraged funds spanning AI, uranium, and cybersecurity.

Defiance entered the fray with a planned -2x Quantum Computing ETF, a rare inverse play on a niche theme.

A yet-to-be-named startup pushed boundaries with three active concepts—Synthetic Mind (AI ecosystem), Beyond Earth (space commercialization), and Creatorverse (digital media economy)—hinting at where thematic investing could head next.

Finally, VistaShares filed a striking lineup of eight hedge-fund-replicating ETFs, pairing 13F-based portfolios with income overlays that target a 15% annual yield. Each mirrors top managers like Tepper, Loeb, and Laffont, bringing elite hedge fund exposure to the ETF wrapper.

Milestones Reflect Maturing Momentum

The industry’s momentum is translating into scale. Roundhill Investments crossed the $10 billion mark in AUM, validating its thematic and income-driven approach. T. Rowe Price surged past $20 billion, powered by advisor demand for active management and consistent performance in its core strategies like TCAF, now topping $6 billion alone.
